Office Assistant

Full Job Description

We are looking for a full time Office Assistant for our automotive dealership. Automotive industry experience is a plus, but not required. Must be detail oriented, organized, reliable and customer service focused. Hours are Mon-Fri 8-5pm with an hour for lunch.

Office Assistant Responsibilities

  • Answering phone call and properly representing the dealership to customers & vendors in a professional manner.
  • Provide administrative support to Management by performing routing administrative functions, such as drafting correspondence, scheduling, organizing, maintaining records and various tasks as needed.
  • Maintain office filing and data entry
  • Fax, scan and copy documents
  • Monitor and maintain office supplies by provide assist with supply orders for dealerships and/or service reps.
  • Greet public and clients and direct them to the correct staff member
  • Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail
  • Prepare outgoing mail for distribution
  • Ensure office equipment is properly maintained and serviced
  • Perform work related errands as requested
  • Keep office area clean and tidy

Office Assistant Qualifications

  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented and reliable
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Office / secretarial experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license

Automotive Payroll Clerk

Full Job Description

As one of the largest Nissan Car Dealers in the Northeast, Freedom Nissan is looking for a Payroll Clerk to join our Office Administrative team. This is a full-time position with flexible hours. No remote work. You will be managing all payroll with some additional office admin and HR responsibilities.

Payroll Clerk Responsibilities:

  • Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
  • Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
  • Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
  • Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments.
  • Resolves payroll discrepancies and provides necessary information confidentially
  • Handle employee requests regarding HR functions and duties
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources and other office administration
  • Compile and update employee records

Payroll Clerk Requirements:

  • Must have prior payroll experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • General math skills and ability to analyze information
  • Strong communications skills and demonstrated confidentiality
  • Experience as an HR Assistant, or relevant human resources/administrative position is a plus
  • Proficient computer skills (MS Office, in particular)
  • Basic knowledge of labor laws'
